About Mediencluster NRW GmbH, the media cluster of North Rhine-Westphalia

Mediencluster NRW is the central regional development agency for the expansion, marketing and internationalisation of North Rhine-Westphalia ́s media branches with a specific focus on digital media. Main objectives are to foster long term growth and innovation, thus to maintain and promote the prosperous and thriving media business within the region that is internationally renowned for it ́s structural and innovative strength in media.

Established as a one-stop-agency Mediencluster NRW offers a wide range of networking, information, impulses and cluster management services from a single source. With widespread services at hand the aim is to strengthen North Rhine-Westphalia ́s economic position as one of the world ́s leading regions in media business.

Main tasks:
Through interdisciplinary interlinkage of all media segments, Mediencluster NRW initiates a continuous dialogue across all types of media and promotes cooperation – from TV, film, radio over games, advertising, publishing to digital media as key to unlock new international value chains. Furthermore, Mediencluster NRW provides a wide range of professional services on the following topics: funding and financing (especially for SMEs and Start-ups), business setups, external investments, media education or the implementation of new business opportunities. It is intended to expand activities on a pan-European level initiating international cooperation and conflation of business, science and politics through EU programmes.

Mediencluster NRW is committed to lead North Rhine-Westphalia towards greater economic prosperity through sustainable economic development.

We are open for international cooperation with regards to EU projects as well as other activities ranging from networking activities over knowledge exchange to joint business collaborations.
